About the Program
Fisheries & Wildlife Science
The bachelor’s degree program in fisheries and wildlife science at Paul Smith’s College offers students the education and experience necessary to be highly competitive for entry-level positions in state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations and private consulting firms while preparing students for graduate education.
Students select a concentration in either fisheries or wildlife. Program content is based upon emerging issues in natural resource management and on certification requirements of professional organizations such as the American Fisheries Society and The Wildlife Society. Program activities are coordinated with the Adirondack Watershed Institute and Center for Adirondack Biodiversity, research and outreach institutes based at Paul Smith’s College.
