Jessica Champagne (FR Biology; Sheldon, VT/BFA-Fairfax HS) was announced as the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week for Women's Cross Country. Jessica began the season as the #5 runner for the Paul Smith's College Bobcats, but has steadily improved through the season. This past week Jessica improved her 5K time under difficult conditions (steady downpour) at Saratoga State Park, to finish the 3.1 mile race in 23:20.

Jessica was the only runner from Paul Smith's College to improve her time from the previous week. Jessica's previous PR was a 23:54, set at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva.

Jessica is a valuable member of the #1 ranked PSC Bobcats Women's XC team, and has demonstrated her solid work ethic and determination under challenging conditions.
