Coach's Corner- Men's Basketball —

The men's basketball team earned their first victory of the season last night in their home opener against Word of Life. The Bobcats only had 5 eligible players for last night's game but worked hard, played together and never let up.
Coach Akey was proud of his team for their effort and happy for them getting the first win of the season out of the way. "We played our best game of the season. Only playing with 5 players, we focused on defending their ability to shoot from the perimeter, holding them to 7 3's compared to 14 on Sunday. We missed too many free throws going 21 for 34 on the night. I am happy for the players earning their first win of the season. We didn't play perfect but we never let up and tonight we wanted it more. Steven Edwards and Ryan Hingston (both Freshman) played very well on both ends of the floor. I thought Jeff Moore played fantastic and showed great leadership. It was a great team effort and tonight we played a complete game."

The Bobcat's return to action Thursday as they travel to Buffalo to take on Medialle College at 7 PM.
