On Tuesday Freshman forward Ryan Hingston was named Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week. Ryan averaged 11.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in four games for the Bobcats. The freshman from Barnstead, N.Y. recorded a double-double against D’Youville College with 15 points and 13 rebounds. He also blocked three shots in that game and shot 36 percent from the floor for the week.
The entire Paul Smith's College Community is proud of Ryan for this accomplishment. Freshman Steven Edwards was nominated for Sunrise Conference Player of the Week but did not win the award. It is a great sign for the men's basketball program that these players are being noticed in the conference.
