Piper and Jardin Represent PSC at Collegiate Ski Nationals —

Athletic Department
March 7, 2011

Matt Piper, a junior from Morrisville, VT is returning to the USCSA Nationals for the third time, while Annie Jardin, a sophomore from Mexico, NY is making her second trip. Coach Stefan Bibb is conducting training sessions for Piper and Jardin in Sun Valley, ID as they prepare for a week long series of races.

Matt Piper won two events in the Eastern Division of the USCSA, including the 8.5Km Classic race at East Regionals in Jericho, VT. Piper is the second ranked skier from the Eastern Division, and looks like a good bet to earn All-American in Sun Valley this week.

Annie Jardin has had four top ten finishes this season, with her best being a fifth place finish in the 1.5km sprint event at Regionals. Jardin has also been competing in biathlon when she can, two earning gold medals again at the Empire State Games this season.

Racing begins Tuesday with the 1.5K sprint, and concludes Saturday with the collegiate relays.

As events get underway, results can be found at: http://www.uscsa.com/national-championships/national-championships
