Lightening at Men's Soccer Game Tuesday! Game Cancelled at 60th Minute. In a show of control and strength, the men's soccer team was ahead 3-1 and on its way to defeating Clinton Community College, but the lightening ruled the evening. Officials called the game with 30 minutes remaining. While the Bobcats don't get to count the match toward their record, it is worthwhile to share the highlights.
The first goal came just 2 1/2 minutes into the match as freshman #19 Alex Roache scored with a diving header assisted by sophomore #4 Anthony Ventello. In the 19th minute freshman #17 connected off of a pass by Roache to put the score at 2-0. CCC came back with a goal in the 35th minute, and then in the 50th minute senior #12 Kris Klinkbeil tallied PSC's third goal form a pass by senior #15 Jeff Langschwager.
The thunderstorm began in the 60th minute, and even though both teams waited it out for 45 minutes, the storm continued and the match was cancelled. Technically it doesn't count toward their record, but PSC won this match, and played great soccer!
