PSC Soccer 2 Columbus Day Shutouts! —

Both the men's and women's teams defeated Vermont Tech on Columbus Day. The women won 2-0, with goals from senior Joelle Guisti and sophomore Bridgette Bolduc (assisted by sophomore Megan Ceplo). PSC dominated almost the entire 90 minutes of play, with a stunning number of goal-scoring opportunities.

They host Clinton Community College tonight at 6pm, and then NHTI on Sunday for the first round of the YSCC championship tournament.

The men squeezed out a 1-0 shutout against Vermont Tech, with a goal by freshman Drew Ryder (assisted by freshman Max Curtiss) just 5 seconds before halftime. PSC had several opportunities to score in the second half, and the defensive line stepped up to block nearly every VTC offensive attempt.

They remain in 1st place in the YSCC conference western division as they prepare for a make-up match at Hampshire College Saturday. Following that, they will enter the semi-final round of the YSCC tournament held at NHTI in Concord, NH.

Thanks again for your support of Paul Smith's College Soccer.
