Feldenkrais- Back Pain Relief With a Rolled Blanket
Lastly, Uwe Mester will return to Paul Smith's College on November 8th to provide Feldenkrais instruction on the topic of Back Pain Relief With a Rolled Blanket.
We generally assume that our back pain problems arise because our muscles are not strong or our joints flexible enough to withstand the stress of certain activities. We miss out on how our lack of awareness contribute to our back pain. In this workshop we will use a rolled blanket to become more aware of the different curves in our spine and how important they are for our movement. The Awareness through Movement lessons of this workshop will help you to feel the distinctions in your spine, to get a clearer internal image that can lead to a pain free back. Free for PSC students, all others $25.
Saturday, November 8, 2014 - 10am to 12:30pm
Dance Room - Saunders Sports Complex of Paul Smith's College
No prior Feldenkrais experience is necessary to enjoy this workshop. Please bring a blanket that when rolled up will be approximately 3 feet long and 5 inches thick.
One-on-One sessions with Uwe Mester are possible for those who would prefer to tackle a different problem. These sessions will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday November 9th.
Please feel free to contact me (518: 327-6097 or firstname.lastname@example.org) to gain more information about Feldenkrais/Somatic Education and to register for this session.
