An expert on amphibian and reptile conservation will give a talk Friday, Oct. 31, at Paul Smith's College.
Valorie Titus, assistant professor of natural resource management at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vt., will speak at 10:10 a.m. in the Freer Auditorium. Her talk is titled "The Importance of Forest Habitat Connectivity for Species of Ambystomid Salamanders, Focusing on the Eastern Tiger Salamander.” Read more »
The registrar and director of Institutional Research at Paul Smith's College was named to the newly formed higher education advisory board for Rapid Insight, one of the nations leading providers of predictive analytics software and solutions.
Loralyn Taylor was chosen, along with seven other college and university administrators from across the country, to help inform and direct Rapid Insight's strategic development efforts for its advanced analytic solutions for the higher education market. Read more »

An acclaimed author and illustrator of nearly 200 children’s science books will give a talk Friday, Oct. 17, at Paul Smith's College.
Jim Arnosky is the recipient of multiple awards, including the Christopher, Orbis Pictus and the Franklin Fairbank for being Vermont's foremost creative guide to nature lore. His fishing books are included in the International Game and Fishing Association Hall of Fame Library.
Arnosky will speak at 10:10 a.m. in the Freer Auditorium. His talk is titled “Swamp Stories.” Read more »
Paul Smith’s College officials announced the largest-ever scholarship gift in the institution’s history on Monday, Sept. 22: A $2 million fund meant to help students who wouldn’t be able to afford college otherwise.
The Frank M. Hutchins Scholarship Endowment was created by his widow, Jeanne. Frank Hutchins was a longtime trustee and supporter of Paul Smith’s who died in 2012 at the age of 90. Read more »
