"TED-AXE" TALKS

Short TED-style presentations by students, researchers, and educators on topics related to the art and science of RENEWAL, including acid rain recovery at Black Pond, growth of deer antlers, and alpine zone regeneration. Begins with a MARCH FOR SCIENCE at 10 AM, from the PSC campus entrance to the VIC.

VISUAL ARTS

A wide range of displays and activities by painters, film makers, and other visual artists from the North Country, focusing on the theme of “Renewal.” Organized by Paul Smith’s College and Saranac Lake artists.

LUNCH HOUR DEMONSTRATIONS

Paul Smith’s College faculty, students, and guests will offer live music and science-art activities, including fungus art and atlatl demonstration.

MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

North Country musicians Tyler Dezago, Celia Evans, Roy Hurd, Glenn McClure, Jamie Savage, and others perform between TED-axe talks, focusing on the art and science of renewal.

REFRESHMENTS

Paul Smith’s College chefs and students will provide tasty and sustainable lunch-sustenance for sale!

FILM: "HAPPENING"

Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution” is James Redford’s personal global journey into the renewable energy revolution, exploring issues of human resilience, new tech, and hope for a sustainable future.
