ARBORICULTURE AND LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT - Associate of Applied Science

The arboriculture and landscape management program provides the education and training that can lead to an exciting and challenging career in the green industry. Our graduates are employed as tree surgeons, landscape designers, turf specialists and city arborists all over the country.

The focus of the arboriculture and landscape management program is on the field of arboriculture (individual tree care). Students learn how to properly plant, fertilize and prune trees in the landscape. Students also become familiar with common diseases and insects of trees along with appropriate management strategies.

The A.A.S in arboriculture and landscape management curriculum includes courses in:

  • Arboriculture
  • Insects and Diseases of Trees
  • Landscape Design
  • Greenhouse and Turf Management
  • Urban Forestry
  • Dendrology
  • Forest Soils or Ecology
