The Palm at Paul Smith’s Reopens June 27
Looking for the nearest Palm Restaurant? You could head to Boston, New York City or the Hamptons – or, this summer, get the next closest thing at The Palm at Paul Smith’s College.
The student training restaurant in Cantwell Hall reopens for the summer on Friday, June 27. The menu, inspired by the legendary Palm steakhouses, offers classic selections such as clams casino, chicken parmigiana and New York strip steak, and a dessert menu that includes items such as cheesecake and crème brûlée. The restaurant also serves beer and wine.
Paul Smith’s culinary arts students handle kitchen duties as they prepare first-class food in a real-life work environment, while hospitality management students learn the art of turning a meal into an experience.
It’s the same kind of hands-on training that Palm co-owner Walter Ganzi Jr. ‘63 received at Paul Smith’s before he took the reins of the family business – training that led him to say his times at Paul Smith’s were some of the best of his life.
The Palm at Paul Smith’s will be open Friday and Saturday evenings until August 16. Reservations are required. For more information or to see the full menu, visit The Palm at Paul Smith’s webpage.
