Federal Pell Grants

Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree. To determine eligibility, the U.S. Department of Education uses a standard formula to evaluate the information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The formula produces an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number. The result of the federal application is a Student Aid Report (SAR) which contains the EFC number and indicates Pell Grant eligibility.

Pell Grants for 2011-2012 will range from $555 to $5,550.
