The AFCEA Educational Foundation
The AFCEA Educational Foundation is an independent non-profit tax-exempt public charity dedicated to providing educational incentives, opportunities and assistance for people engaged in information management, communications and intelligence efforts and fostering excellence in education particularly in the "hard science" disciplines related to C4ISR.

In December 2005, the AFCEA Northern Virginia (NOVA) Chapter contributed $100,000 to the AFCEA Educational Foundation to establish the Iraqi/Afghanistan War Veterans Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund awards $2,500 annual scholarships to qualified Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen. The AFCEA Educational Foundation is pleased to co-sponsor this scholarship opportunity for U.S. War Veterans.

The Scholarships for Military Children Program was created to recognize the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and to celebrate the role of the commissary in the military family community.

If your mother or father is active duty, reserve/guard, or retired military personnel or you are the survivor of a deceased member, and you have a military dependent I.D. card you can apply! You must be planning to attend a college or university on a full-time basis.

The Fund for Veterans' Education
The Fund for Veterans' Education was established to provide scholarships to veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who served in Afghanistan or Iraq since September 11, 2001 and who are now enrolled in college or vocational-technical school.

We are committed to helping veterans close the gap between rising educational costs and GI benefits that have not kept pace.

Remove financial barriers for low-income students who are ready for college.
We're funding scholarships to give college-ready, highly motivated students the opportunity to attend the college of their choice. Most of our programs focus on low-income and minority students. Some programs fund additional graduate study in the areas of public health, education, science, engineering, mathematics, and library science.

Help low-income students get ready to succeed in college.
We're funding college scholarships in select high schools, working to raise college aspirations and readiness in low-income communities. One program is in our home state of Washington; the other is in the nation's capital. Both provide academic, financial, and social support - from tutoring and mentoring to career counseling and leadership training - to prepare 7,250 low-income students to enter college, stay in college, and graduate with a bachelor's degree.

We're creating an international network of future leaders to work in agriculture, health, technology, law, and learning - and make the world a better place. Scholarships fund graduate studies for 1,000 international students at Cambridge University in England, for 1,000 U.S. students pursuing careers in public service law at the University of Washington, and for 360 female, African scientists pursuing careers in agricultural research and development in sub-Saharan Africa.
