Bio: Dr. Diane Litynski is the Director of the Business Management and Entrepreneurship Studies program at Paul Smiths College. Her background includes careers in academia, large and small industry, and the military.
Prior to Paul Smiths, Dr. Litynski was on three college faculties, including the University of Auckland in New Zealand, Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and most recently, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
As a practitioner, Dr. Litynski has served as a new products program manager for the Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also managed a private marketing consulting firm focused on the professional design service industries of architecture and engineering.
Dr. Litynski started her professional career as a US Air Force military officer. She served with the NATO allied troops in Belguim and Germany, and currently serves on a local Veteran Honor Guard.
Dr. Litynski currently resides in Saranac Lake, New York and is embarking on her latest project -- building an house made with sustainable building materials.
Interests & Activities: Dr. Litynski has recently solicited Goldman-Sachs with a venture to educate under-served and economic disadvantaged women in the northern counties of New York. Her research and practitioner efforts focus on micro-economies and small business endeavors.
Dr. Litynski continues to investigate the "fit" and appropriateness of Internet infrastructures and the ability to establish livelihoods in natural resource preserves. |
