Bio: I received my BA in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. After a couple of years working in a biomedical research laboratory, I completed my Masters in Microbiology at Harvard University School of Public Health. Since 1977, when I began teaching at Paul Smith's, I have taught an array of science courses, and particularly enjoyed being part of a group of faculty who worked to develop and implement the baccalaureate programs at the college.
Interests & Activities: My scientific interests focus on basic microbiology, the role of microorganisms in the environment, and their influence on society. In my courses, I continue to implement student-centered learning opportunities to enhance the understanding of information presented in classes.
I served as the Capstone Coordinator for several years, and now continue to work with the students by teaching Capstone courses.
