More information about peer tutoring: Sessions may be scheduled during day or evening hours based on your needs and the tutor's availability.

  • Most tutoring takes place in the Academic Success Center, upstairs in the library.
  • Tutors are trained to help you learn and improve your understanding of course material.
  • Tutors can teach you new study techniques or problem solving strategies that helped them succeed in the same course.

Key to the success of our program is the recruitment of knowledgeable, caring and dedicated peer tutors.

  • Becoming a tutor:
    • If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, study group or Supplemental Instruction leader see Ginny McAleese in Library 204 or Renee Marleau in Library 203.
    • Tutors are expected to have a 3.0 or higher GPA as well as an A in the course they are tutoring. The recommendation of two faculty members is also required.
    • Tutors are paid through our work-study program and can set up a schedule to meet their needs
    • Becoming a tutor is a great way to help others as well as keep up on your own studies.
  • Tutor Training
