Tutor's Page Key to the success of our program is the recruitment of knowledgeable, caring and dedicated peer tutors.
- Becoming a tutor:
- If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, study group or Supplemental Instruction leader see Ginny McAleese in Library 204 or Amy Tuthill in Library 203.
- Tutors are expected to have a 3.0 or higher GPA as well as an A in the course they are tutoring. The recommendation of two faculty members is also required.
- Tutors are paid through our work-study program and can set up a schedule to meet their needs
- Becoming a tutor is a great way to help others as well as keep up on your own studies.
- Tutor Training
- Tutors receive training according to nationally recognized standards. We provide training on general tutoring strategies and for specific subject areas.
