Why come?
Peer consultants help students to:
- understand the assignment
- discuss the writing process
- get started
- consider audience/voice
- build confidence
- locate information
- organize ideas
- delete information in a draft
- expand a draft
- punctuate, spell, and use a variety of sentence structures.
Students seeking help should: bring the assignment and any drafts. Come with an idea of what you would like to write about and leave time to make revisions before the assignment is due. Appointments with specific tutors can be scheduled.
Students retain ownership of their work and can choose to either accept or reject the suggestions.
