Planning Your Career - The Step by Step Process

Externship/Internship Assistance
Some programs require that students complete an externship or internship. Speak with your advisor or Externship/Internship Coordinator about your program requirements, necessary paperwork and documentation. Other students may be searching for an internship experience, but are not required to do so to graduate. Career Services provides support and resources for searching internship opportunities through INTERNSHIPS.COM. To access, contact Career Services for the PSC Key Code.

Workshops
Career Services offers workshops, classroom presentations and one-on-one assistance as needed, and as requested by faculty and students. For availability, check with Career Services.

Considering & Applying to Graduate School
For students looking for further education, the office provides counseling, graduate and entrance exam information, and online access to New York State and nationwide college websites. College recruiters from graduate programs occasionally visit campus to recruit students, supplying them with information and answering any questions they might have regarding applications, essays and graduate pre-testing. A workshop "Considering and Applying to Graduate School" is offered during the Fall and Spring semesters and is presented by Career Services and TRiO-SSS.
