|Description||The Career Services Office is accepting resumes for a Summer Career Center Assistant. Start mid-May through mid-August; potential for fall and spring. Must be a summer 2013 student.
Requires professional image and positive attitude, as well as attention to detail, editing, data-entry and customer service skills. Availability for 6-10 hours per week (M-F; 8:30-5pm) and willing to participate in career sponsored events and assist in other area offices as needed.
●Demonstrate a professional image as Career Center student assistant
●Greet, interact and assist visitors. Direct to appropriate offices on campus, as needed
●Enter detailed job postings on PSC Career Central database
●Assist with annual Alumni Survey and Summer Phonathon
●Create and maintain bulletin boards and flyers on campus
●Assist with career related events which may include weekends and evenings
●Assist with general office duties including filing, answering phones and cleaning
●Assist Human Resources, as needed.
●Enrolled for Summer 2013 semester.
●GPA in good academic standing.
●Junior or Senior status preferred.
●Ability to work assigned shifts.
●Dependable and responsible.
●Attention to detail, excellent spelling, editing and proofreading skills are critical
●Computer and internet proficiency(Word, Excel, Access, Internet, social networking medias)
●Customer skills: verbal, written, phone, email
●Office skills and professionalism: filing, email; telephone,keeping Career Center organized and clean.
●Willingness to learn new skills.
●Self-motivated and able to work independently
●Ability to lift 25 lbs
