1. A student must be eligible for the program as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
2. Student employees must report to the work site prepared to work. This means dressed appropriately for the position.
3. Maintain a professional manner on the work site. Attention to customer service is a must.
Description: Aid in computer support for students, faculty, and staff. Computer knowledge is not required, for training is available. However, motivated and responsible individuals are required.
+ Assist in integration of information technology resources and services across campus, giving emphasis to customer service and satisfaction.
+ Attend to the help desk, acting as the first point of contact for assistance through email, phone, and in person.
+ Maintain a professional working demeanor while assisting others.
+ Responsible for minor maintenance and support of PCs which come into the office.
+ Troubleshooting minor software and hardware issues which arise.
Relevant Skills: Applicant should have a working knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission and values of Paul Smith’s College. Applicant should be outgoing and friendly and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be organized with good attention to detail. Have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, administrators and staff. Demonstrate responsibility and willingness to assist others.
