Strategies for Written Work

Students should make an appointment with a learning specialist or with a writing tutor in the Writing Center to meet 1:1 to learn strategies with written assignments and to train on Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Students become independent writers and learners capable of generating and evaluating text on their own. Peer consultants reinforce the higher order concerns in writing which are thesis, tone, organization, and development. Students retain ownership of their papers and choose whether to accept or reject suggestions.
