This course consists of narrative, descriptive, and expository writing with a strong focus
on revision strategies, grammar, mechanics, and research reports.
Introduction to College Mathematics

This course begins with foundational math applications and progresses to college algebra.
Introduction to Research & Presentation

This course provides students with an opportunity to research and produce an oral presentation.
Introduction to Computer Literacy

This course includes the technology systems used by Paul Smith’s College (ex. PSC email, network drives,
and web page) and programs you, as a college student, will utilize (ex. Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, online learning systems).
Fundamentals of Social Psychology

This course examines how thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect and are affected by other
individuals. Motivation, stereotyping, helping others, and becoming effective leaders are topics explored.
HEOP Seminar
-
This course will cover success strategies, give students a chance to complete any outstanding paperwork, and
learn how to self- advocate. Topics include study skills, time management, stress management, financial aid forms and assertive skills.
