  • Complete a Paul Smith’s College admission application

  • Complete and submit the following 8 requirements:
    1. HEOP application (online or print and mail)
    2. Two letters of recommendation from teachers, guidance counselors, or employers
    3. An essay discussing all 5 topics:
      • How you felt growing up in your family (positive and negative experiences)
      • How you felt growing up in your community (positive and negative experiences)
      • How you felt growing up in your school (positive and negative experiences)
      • People you care about in your life
      • Your future expectations
    4. FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
    5. TAP (Tuition Assistance Program)
    6. Verification of 2011 household income which may include:
      • Federal Tax returns
      • W-2's
      • Social Security form 1099
      • Child support verification
      • Public assistance documents
    7. A campus visit (Click here to visit through Admissions, click here to visit through HEOP)
    8. An interview with HEOP Staff

Transfer Students

  • Any student who has previously attended a post-secondary institution and who participated in an opportunity program such as EOP, HEOP, SEEK or College Discovery is eligible to apply and does not have to submit the above items. Please contact HEOP for transfer requirements.
