Campus Ministry

THE ADIRONDACK CAMPUS MINISTRY

The Adirondack Campus Ministry (ACM) is a not-for-profit organization that oversees and raises funds for the Campus Ministry in the Adirondacks. It shall provide a ministry where members of campus communities of any college, community college, or similar institution of higher education in the Adirondacks, may develop Christian worship, growth, and service experiences among students, faculty, administration, local community churches, and citizens, and all peoples of the world.

CAMPUS MINISTRY VISION STATEMENT

Our vision for Campus Ministry at Paul Smith's College is a strong, active, spiritually focused fellowship, self-sustaining, and guided by a full time minister. The growing ministry emphasizes strong values, role modeling, volunteerism, and leadership, and is recognized as an integral and vibrant presence on campus and in the wider community.

PARTICIPATION AND RELATIONSHIPS

The ACM serves on the campuses of Paul Smith's College and North Country Community College. Participation in the ministry and program of the ACM shall be open to any member of the campus community who affirms a desire to participate in the fellowship in support of its purpose. There shall be no discrimination on the grounds of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, national origin or belief.

The ACM board of directors is the designated representative body of local churches and institutions of higher education participating in ACM. Membership on the Board of Directors of the ACM requires both local churches and institutions of higher learning to agree to cooperate and to accept, as they are able, a proportionate share of the responsibility for the program of the ACM, in finances and services. Funding from these churches, denominations, and other sources is channeled through the ACM Board of Directors. The ACM is also supported by other Protestant churches, judicatories and ministries. The Board of Directors is accountable to participating churches and to denominational governing bodies.
