Dance Room

A lovely space that measures approximately 34 ft x 34 ft, our dance room provides space for both personal and group exercise. The types of organized classes change as the student and employee population changes. Some equipment maintained in the dance room includes: Physio Balls, Reebok Steppers, Dumbbells, Foam Rollers and Yoga Mats. Also, the room has 2 large wall mounted screen televisions, DVD player and a sound system. Street shoes are not permitted on the dance room floor. The room can be opened for personal use at any time there is not a class. Please see the fitness center staff for assistance.

If sixty (or so) minutes of moderate to intense exercise (you decide, it’s your workout) is of interest to you, this class happens twice per week in the movement room located upstairs in the Saunders gym. This fitness class is geared towards both men and women who want to feel like they just did a focused strength, flexibility, and aerobic workout in one hour.  Using your own body weight (and occasionally low-weight bar bells) – we jump, squat, flutter kick, plank – and REALLY enjoy the five minute stretch out (a.k.a., exhale) at the end. Water bottles are recommended.
