Our Staff

Matthew Seton Schur, Director of Student Affairs
The Director of Student Affairs oversees the Student Affairs Division which consists of Housing and Residence Life, Student Activities, and Judicial Affairs. He provides an overall vision for the department and guides the staff towards achieving that goal. The Director will promote a campus environment conducive to student growth and development, while fostering overall student success in line with the institution's values. He is responsible for building maintaining a positive work environment with the focus of innovation and teamwork as a way to achieve success. The Director of Student Affairs also oversees all judicial board hearings and appeals. The Director of Student Affairs oversees the Housing and Operations Manager, and the Coordinators of Residence Life and Student Activities.

Teresa Gay, Housing and Operations Manager, Student Affairs
The Housing and Operations Manager is responsible for student housing placements, key inventory, judicial sanction tracking, the day-to day operations of the Housing office, and supervises the operations of the campus mailroom. Students can refer to the Housing and Operations Manager for concerns with their housing assignments, room changes, lost keys, questions about their judicial cases and any other concerns relevant to the Housing office.

Dain Lewis, Coordinator of Residence Life, Office of Residence Life
The Coordinator of Residence Life serves as administrator for the Residence Life program. The Coordinator is responsible for providing the residence halls with appropriate supervision of students by supervising the Residence Life Staff and coordinating with the departments of Campus Safety, Food Service, and Facilities (just to name a few). The Coordinator serves as a judicial officer for the Student Affairs department and is also responsible for the training of both Residence Life professional and student staff.

Jill Susice, Coordinator of Student Activities
The Coordinator of Student Activities plans and implements a variety of campus-wide activities for the Paul Smith's College student community. The Coordinator of Student Activities also advises the members of the Student Government Association. Students can visit the Coordinator of Student Activities if they have any questions or concerns pertaining to clubs, organizations, student government and other campus-related activities.

Roger Wang, Area Coordinator, Office of Residence Life
Oversees the Lydia Martin Smith (LMS), Lakeside, Upper St. Regis and Lower St. Regis, and Alumni Residence Halls. The Area Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the implementation of specific programs in conjunction with the Offices of Residence Life and Student Activities. Area Coordinators work with various College support offices to provide students with a comprehensive living-learning experience. The Area Coordinator is responsible for supervising Resident Assistants, helping with duty coverage, handling judicial matters, and aiding in the personal, academic, and mental development of residents.

Shannon Smith, Area Coordinator, Office of Residence Life
Oversees the Livermore, Currier, Saratoga and Hillside Residence Halls. The Area Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the implementation of specific programs in conjunction with the Offices of Residence Life and Student Activities. Area Coordinators work with various College support offices to provide students with a comprehensive living-learning experience. The Area Coordinator is responsible for supervising Resident Assistants, helping with duty coverage, handling judicial matters, and aiding in the personal, academic, and mental development of residents.
