PAUL SMITHS—Winter sports go better with chili—and both will be on tap at the annual Chili Ski Tasting at the VIC on Saturday, Jan. 29.
Culinary arts students from Paul Smith’s College will serve up chili starting at 11:30 a.m. and keep going as long as it lasts. Hot drinks will be provided by Sodexo.
Guests are welcome to bring cross country skis or snowshoes and check out the VIC’s groomed trails before sampling what the college’s chefs-in-training have to offer. The trails are open from dawn until dusk. The VIC is located on Route 30 in Paul Smiths.
“We hope the community will join us for some winter outdoor family fun and to taste some of the finest chili you will find anywhere in the Adirondacks,” said John W. Mills, president of Paul Smith’s College.
The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Adirondack Park Institute, the not-for-profit friends group that supports programs at the Paul Smith’s College VIC and the Adirondack Interpretive Center in Newcomb.
