Friday: Lecture on mayflies, stoneflies and caddisflies - 2010-03-31

Dr. Tim Mihuc of SUNY-Plattsburgh and Luke Myers '05 will speak on "The Mayflies (Ephemeroptera), Stoneflies (Plecoptera) and Caddisflies (Trichoptera) of New York State" on Friday, April 2, at 10:10 a.m. in the Pine Room of the Joan Weill Student Center.

The talk is free and open to the public.

Mihuc is the coordinator of the new master of science in natural science program at Plattsburgh State, as well as editor of Scientia Discipulorum, an undergraduate research e-journal.

Myers, who graduated from Paul Smith's with an environmental science degree, completed his master's degree at Colorado State University and has since returned to the Adirondacks, doing work with the Adirondack All Taxa Biological Inventory.

The event is co-sponsored by the School of Sciences, Liberal Arts and Business; the Center for Adirondack Biodiversity; and the Fisheries and Wildlife Science program.
