Spring Meet wrapup: Congrats to Jon Preston, Rosalie Santerre and Tyler Rothe! - 2010-04-24

Paul Smith's College students Jon Preston and Rosalie Santerre captured the men's and women's divisions of the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Northeast Collegiate Challenge on Saturday, earning a trip to Oregon in August to compete against other divisional champs.

Their victories, which will be aired at a later date on ESPNU, capped the 64th annual Spring Meet, at which scores of competitors chopped wood, threw axes, rolled logs and participated in other feats.

Additionally, Rothe snagged the inaugural STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Ironjack Collegiate Championship on Friday afternoon.

The Paul Smith's women's and jack-and-jill teams took first place in the 64th annual Spring Meet competition, which was also held this weekend. The college's men's teams finished third and fourth.
