Alumni Verification Project
Periodically, Paul Smith’s College publishes an alumni directory, and the 2019 directory project has begun. Over the next few months, Publishing Concepts Inc. will be contacting our alumni via mail, phone and e-mail to request that you update your information. We understand that you might not want to provide your information to just anyone, so we want you to know their request for your information is legitimate. Up-to-date alumni information will be critical in assembling the upcoming alumni directory. While all alumni are included in the directory at no cost, PCI is also taking orders for the printed hardcover directory, as well as electronic versions of the directory.
Frequently Asked Questions
I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for Paul Smith’s College. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?
We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new alumni directory. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation. This project allows Paul Smith’s College Alumni Office to receive important updates to our database so we know more about our alumni and how we can better serve you and future alumni.
How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?
Paul Smith’s College has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:
The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by Paul Smith’s College for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
The Directory will be made available only to alumni of Paul Smith’s College. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to Paul Smith’s College any and all electronic files that have been supplied by Paul Smith’s College or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.
I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?
If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the Paul Smith’s College Alumni Verification Project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.
If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information.
If you did not receive a card or an email from PCI you can call there help desk at 1-877-603-4045.
Can anyone purchase a directory?

- Digital directory for $119.98 plus any applicable tax.
- Digital Publication by Decade $59.98 plus any applicable sales tax.
PCI is required to collect and remit sales tax to states that charge sales tax.
Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?
When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative what information you would prefer to have excluded.
What is the cost of the project to Paul Smith’s College?
PCI is producing this directory free of charge. As PCI has agreed to prepare and send marketing, take calls and updates, compile, format the directory information and publish the directories for Paul Smith’s College at no cost, it is necessary for the directory sales to cover said costs. This ensures that PCI’s time and efforts result in data verification for Paul Smith’s College as well as a directory product for our constituents.
