PSC Self-Assessment Mobile App
PSC faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to use the college’s new mobile app to easily complete their daily health screening assessments. As a reminder, this screening is a required part of the Smitty Safety and Civility Pledge.
Using the app takes just a few minutes each day. Users are asked to identify their role at the college (student, employee, Sodexo employee) and confirm four basic statements:
- I have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19.
- I have not tested positive for COVID-19.
- I have not had close contact (six feet or less without a mask for more than 15 minutes) with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
- I have not traveled outside New York to one of the states listed on the NYS travel advisory.
Helpful links are provided for details on COVID-19 symptoms and the NYS travel advisory.
The app was developed in-house by Paul Smith’s College staff. We are grateful to the Nassau BOCES technology team, who shared their source code and expertise to help make this possible.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why am I being asked to do this?

Getting into the habit of a daily self-assessment not only keeps you focused on your own health, it provides valuable data to help manage overall wellness of our community.
Are there costs involved?
No. The app is free to download and use.
Do I need a PSC account to use the app?
Yes. Once the app is downloaded and opened, you will be prompted to enter your PSC email address and network password.
Is the app mandatory?
Daily health screening is required as part of our Smitty Safety + Civility Pledge. The mobile app is a convenient tool for meeting this obligation.
