SUMMARY:Adirondack Field Ecology
DESCRIPTION:Adirondack Field Ecology is a hands-on field ecology course where you’ll study the natural world of the Adirondack Park — one of the largest protected areas in the United States — through scientific observation\, sampling\, and real-world data collection. It’s designed for high school or college students aged 16-20 who want a head start on a science degree. Upon successful completion\, participants will earn 4 college credits. \nOver the course of four weeks\, participants will: \n\nOnline (June 29 – July 11): Lay foundation in ecological principles and prepare for fieldwork.\nOn Campus (July 12 – 25): Engage in daily outdoor labs\, practice GIS mapping and analysis\, and integrating observation with scientific interpretation.\n\nProgram cost is $2\,095 and covers tuition\, fees\, room and board.
