Message from Student Government

To: Paul Smith’s College students
Delivered: March 13, 2020

Dear Students,

As we all continue with our extended spring break due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic I want to share my thoughts with you.

I know many of you are concerned about courses, Capstones and graduation requirements. I have been in contact with several faculty members, and it is clear that the College is acting proactively to ensure that students successfully complete the Spring semester. They are already aggressively planning in the event that courses need to be delivered “online”, and they will continue this preparation through next week.

Our college had responded to this current pandemic proactively to ensure the correct preventative measure are being taken influenced by guidance from local, state and federal agencies. Human Health and the Environment along with Disaster Management are not only majors at our institution but also part of expertise members of our college community posses, and whose skills are as important as ever.

Please join in me not only in solidarity, but cooperating, being patient and having confidence in our faculty, staff and administrators! While this will be a challenge, we will manage. This is a situation colleges and universities across the nation are facing.
Please stay active via your Paul Smith’s e-mail for any and all updates coming from our institution regarding our education. And a big thank you to all working hard to ensure a successful semester at PSC.

Be Well,

Randy Martinez
