Biography

Katharine (Kate) Glenn (she/her) began her career at Paul Smith’s in 2007. Since then, she has developed the PSC Center for Sustainability, and has been teaching for 8 years. She is currently the Sustainability Coordinator and an Instructor in the Department of Environment and Society, as well as Program Coordinator for the Sustainability BS program. Kate is proud to be running a Sustainability Grants program of her own design, and to have initiated several large-scale energy projects on campus.

She has a MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch University and BA in Liberal Arts from Green Mountain College. Since 2019, Kate has been a member of the Saranac Lake Climate Smart Communities Committee and recently joined the team at Northern Power and Light as a Community Energy Advocate. Over the years she has worked with various area non-profits including ADK Action, Lake Placid Land Conservancy, and Adirondack Hamlets to Huts. Courses that Kate has developed and taught include Sustainable Food Systems, Alternative Energy, Conservation Design Green Communities and Sustainable Community Agriculture.
