One cold winter night it got down to 52 degrees below zero. Only one car on campus got started. From that night on we had to bring our car batteries into our dorm rooms every night. The furnace broke down that night and we had to sleep in sleeping bags with hats on. The buildings were creaking and cracking all night long.
