Thank you to everyone who attended the Gazebo Lighting! The annual Gazebo Lighting, a tradition that was started a few years ago by Joe Conto and his HSMAI students, was held on November 18th. The Lighting is a time to welcome the start of the holiday season, take time to give thanks, and to celebrate the semester coming to an end.

This year, the event was catered by Audrey Waterman and Natalie Palko, as they presented their senior capstone. Audrey and Natalie are the first four-year baking students to complete a baking and pastry capstone, and were required to cater the event by hosting a tasting that encompassed different cultural foods from around the world that are enjoyed during  celebrations and traditions throughout the year. They also had to educate the community about these foods and the history behind each one.

This year’s event had a great turn out, the weather was perfect, and the unique foods, festivities, and celebration of the night drew the Paul Smith’s College community together.
