Blue Skies and Black Flies is the Apollos’ version of “Cheers and Jeers”, heard of it?  We cheer the things that make this campus great, and jeer the less-than-stellar. Blue Skies, good. Black Flies, not-so-much. We welcome compliments, complaints, rants and raves of all things PSC.

Blue Skies!

Blue Skies to the Bobcat Bar being open again. The new bartender is a cool guy and it’s good to have this service back on campus again to discourage people from driving.

Black Flies…

I want to give a Black Fly to Sodexo. I went into the dining hall the other day and noticed one of my friends was served almost completely raw beef. Unfortunate.

Blue Skies!

I’d like to give a Blue Sky to Tess Eidem the new microbiology professor. You can tell she’s one of those gems that belongs here at Paul Smith’s and she brings so much passion and energy to the classroom.

Black Flies…

Black Flies to the weather lately. Freeze thaw, freeze thaw, freeze thaw. I’m sick and tired of having to ice skate to class.

Blue Skies!

I want to give a Blue Sky to the magazine selections at the library. It’s nice to be able to relax and read a magazine between classes and whoever is in charge of stocking them keeps them up to date.

Black Flies…

I want to give a Black Fly to untimely weather advisories and subsequent campus closings after commuters have already made the haul to Paul Smiths.
