Blue Skies and Black Flies is the Apollos’ version of “Cheers and Jeers”, heard of it?  We cheer the things that make this campus great, and jeer the less-than-stellar. Blue Skies, good. Black Flies, not-so-much. We welcome compliments, complaints, rants and raves of all things PSC.

Blue Skies!

I heard that the AP Bakery people (who already do an awesome job) might start accepting credit cards and Bobcat Bucks. This would be the biggest Blue Sky to start my semester, but a possible Black Fly for my bank account…

Black Flies…

I want to give a Black Fly to the people traveling from Malone to Saranac Lake who cut the left hand turn short in the intersection at Paul Smith’s and almost crash into me nearly every day. Learn to drive, people!

Blue Skies!

I gotta give a Blue Sky to all the workers on campus who have been clearing the snow and salting the walks. It’s a lot of work that I think many take for granted.

Black Flies…

I want to give a Black Fly to the Hutch not having coffee sleeves! They have everything you need for coffee except the sleeves, and there’s no reason for it! Don’t make me use two cups!

Blue Skies!

I want to give a Blue Sky to all of the workers at the Packbasket bookstore. They are always very friendly, and most of all helpful and personable when I have any questions. I appreciate you and all the work you do.

Black Flies…

I want to give Black Flies to students who are always on their phones during class. People can do what they want with their time, but it makes me sad to see students who don’t care to learn, and are disrespectful to teachers.
