On this night I went out to photograph the full moon. As I was taking a series of photos I noticed a green streak along the bottom of my photos. I readjusted my composition, facing this barn and I couldn’t believe what I had captured, the Northern Lights! Although it was hard to see with the naked eye my camera was able to it pick up. And with the bright moon lighting the foreground it made for an amazing photo.

My name is Tyler Keim. I am a freshman here at Paul Smith’s College. I came to this campus for the amazing programs, and to take advantage of the beautiful landscape in the Adirondacks. My dream is to get a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science, and incorporate it in with my photography business, and some photo journalism. My photos can be found on my Facebook page, “Northeast Photography” or my instagram @northeast_photography
