The Master’s of Natural Resources Conservation (MSNRC) offers flexible study options for graduate students balancing a variety of considerations such as career, family obligations, free-time constraints, health, resources, and external/community interests.
Masters Of Science in Natural Resources Conservation
Full-Time Pathway (16 months)
- Begin study in May of each year (one entry point only)
- Full time each semester
- First summer semester requires a 2-week on-campus residency
- Fall semester requires a 2-night on-campus residency
- No residency during Spring Semester – all courses online
- Last summer semester requires a 2 night on-campus residency
- All courses delivered online; evening synchronous meetings recorded for ease of access
- Good for working professionals or full-time students seeking rapid graduate credential

Extended Pathway (2+ years)
- Begin study in May, August, or January (3 entry points)
- Part time study each semester
- Work with your advisor to plan when to complete the on-campus residencies
- Typical pattern is to complete concentration courses in year one, Final Project in year two
- Option to complete in 2 years or longer time frame
- Good for very busy working professionals or students needing to spread out the cost of the program
- Allows for more time to be spent on Final Project if desired
