In August 2024, the PackBasket was reimagined as the Paul Smith’s College Mercantile. More than a bookstore—The Mercantile is the (book)store for Paul Smith’s College and everyone interested in the Adirondacks. The Mercantile is located right at the front of the Joan Weill Student Center, and you can even shop online!

Harkening back to the original shop at Paul Smith’s Hotel, The Mercantile brings you an authentic Adirondack experience—with a Smitty twist.

Whether you’re looking for rugged wilderness provisions, cozy logo hoodies and flannels, or some good old-fashioned balsam sachets, you’ll find it here alongside textbooks and campus-themed essentials.
