Monica moved to the Adirondacks in 2005 and never would have guessed she’d be writing a bio from the TRiO office in the Joan Weill Adirondack Library two-plus decades later. In that time, she’s changed a lot. Now, she finds much more joy in watching the deer in the yard, seeing the birds and squirrels eating seeds on the deck, and soaking up the smells of nature all around her. The bright lights and loud music no longer call to her. Living in the wilderness will do that to a person, and she wonders if you’ll feel the same.
