We look forward to honoring our graduates on Saturday, May 8, 2027, at 11:00 AM on the Great Lawn along the shore of Akwesasne Lake.

Commencement will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2027, on the Great Lawn. Tickets are not required for admission, and there is no limitation on the number of guests who may attend.

Since commencement will be held outside, we strongly encourage graduates and their guests to bring warm layers, rain gear, and to wear supportive footwear. The Adirondacks in May can be cool with typical morning temperatures around 45–58°F.

Specifics about the ceremony will be posted at a later date.

    Convocation 2026

    The academic year begins with Convocation, one of Paul Smith's College's signature traditions. Students, faculty, and staff gather to formally welcome the newest class of Smitties and celebrate the start of another year of hands-on learning, discovery, and community.
