The academic year begins with Convocation, one of Paul Smith’s College’s signature traditions. Students, faculty, and staff gather to formally welcome the newest class of Smitties and celebrate the start of another year of hands-on learning, discovery, and community.
Convocation marks the beginning of a journey defined by experience. It is the moment when first-year students join a campus where learning extends beyond the classroom into forests, kitchens, labs, lakes, studios, and workplaces across the Adirondacks.
Families and guests are invited to attend as we celebrate the Class of 2030 and reaffirm our shared commitment to curiosity, hard work, and purpose.
