Science Courses That Put You In Touch With the Real World

Students in our courses may be pursuing careers in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecological Restoration, and Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences. All program focus on the study of science and the impact of humans on ecosystems and their components. Most majors also focus on how to manage those impacts.

By living and learning among the creatures and plants of the Adirondacks, the fundamental concepts covered in class and lab become more real to us. As we become familiar with other species and the ecosystems to which we, too, belong, the world begins to make more sense, not just as an abstraction in a textbook but on the ground and in the flesh.

It’s a strong foundation for launching a career, and also for building a meaningful life.
