I’ve been having a super week with the Super Bowl here in Houston, Texas, right outside the doors of the Hilton Americas-Houston where I work as the Assistant Director of Revenue Management. It has been such an amazing opportunity for Houston and inspiring to be a part of hospitality history in the making. The best of this city is on display and it’s been a blast!

I graduated from PSC in 2014 with a major in Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management and minors in Natural Resource Sustainability and Business. Immediately after college I entered Hilton’s Management Development Program with 26 other students from top hospitality schools around the country. I was placed in Houston at the Hilton Americas-Houston with a focus in revenue management. I have since worked my way up to Assistant Director of Revenue Management. My role consists of maximizing revenue through our 1,200 rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space. We do this through pricing, qualifying business and forecasting rooms and food and beverage revenues.

Paul Smith’s was the perfect foundation for my hospitality career. From the Statler Scholarship that allowed me to pursue my dreams, the amazing professors who instilled integrity and hard work into me, and finally to the natural beauty of the lakes and mountains that inspired me each day my time there was invaluable.
