Office Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Clinic Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 am to 11:00 am
All students who feel ill or have any health-related questions are encouraged to speak to Director Abigail Fontaine, RN; BSN. Most visitors are served on a first-come, first-served basis, with exceptions made based on professional opinion and acuity of needs. If it is determined that the Student requires a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to evaluate them, then an appointment will be made for clinic hours.The NP’s visit campus three times a week for these appointments & any other walk-ins. Our Nurse Practitioners are provided through Adirondack Health in Saranac Lake. When a Student needs an appointment ASAP Health Services will do it’s best making an appointment for them in town at the Saranac Lake Health Center.
Student Health Services (SHS) envisions an environment for learning that fosters change and growth in students, with emphasis on increasing independence and self-determination; where the student becomes engaged in the process, assuming responsibility for their life choices.
Student Health Services (SHS) strives to keep the student fully engaged in the learning environment at PSC, while assisting with their health and wellness concerns and/or challenges. Great care is taken to not over assist the student, providing care only to the degree necessary, in order to promote self-care and growth. SHS enables rather than hinders the process of becoming a fully functioning, independent adult capable of making sound decisions and dealing with the consequences of those choices. SHS is an acute care clinic, providing assessment, testing, diagnosis, and treatment. It is not a specialty or chronic care facility but will work in concert with the student’s primary and/or specialty provider to ensure continuity of care while away from home.
